INPUT
Input voltage:
Dual range 90-132 VAC (115 V nominal) or 180-264V AC (208-230V nominal) 47-63 Hz, single
phase, input range user selectable through input terminal block.
Power-up inrush current: 75Amps typical. Automatically resettable soft
start circuit available to limit current to 35 Amps for 1/2 cycle of
AC
Fusing :Input line is protected by an internal fuse.
AC ground : An AC ground termination is provided on the front panel.
OUTPUT
Output ratings : See Vlotage & Current rating table for details.
Voltage adjustment : Output voltages are adjustable ±10% from
nominal.
Line regulation: 0.2% or 10 mV whichever is greater, from no load
to full load.
Common mode pard : Maximum 4% or 200 mV whichever is greater, measured
across an impedance of 5µH from any output to chassis.
Differential mode pard : Maximum 1% or 50mV whichever is greater.
Interaction : Less than 0.2% or 10mV whichever is greater, between
outputs on multiple output units.
Output overshoot/undershoot: None occurs at turn-on or turn-off. Maximum
deviation is 2% with a step load change of 25% of max load upto 25A max, at 3A/µsec.
Trasient response : Maximum of 200µsec to within 1% of Nominal output
voltage after a 25A step load change at 3A/µsec.
Holdup time : All outputs remain within specified regulation for a
minimum of 30msec at nominal line and full load. See graph below. ............
Turn-on delay : Less than 1 sec between application of power and rise of all
output DC voltages to nominal value.
Minimum loading: A minimum load of 10% at nominal line is required on the
primary output units to ensure regulations of auxillary outputs
Overvoltage protection: The inverter shuts down whenever an overvoltage
condition exists on any output. Trip point is set to 120-135% of nominal. OVP circuit is
reset by cycling AC power.
Overload protection: instantaneous current limiting type circuitry. short
circuit current is approximately 20 to 100% of rated load. Protection is continouos
without damage. Output recovers automatically upon removal of fault condition.
Remote sense: Compensates for output line of up of 500MV on main
output and up to 250MV on high current auxillary outputs. Open sense lead and reverse
sense lead protection are provided. Open sense lead condition will not cause outputs to
deviate more than 5%. reversed lead condition will not cause catastrophic failure.
Output isolation: All outputs are independently isolated and may be
referenced up to 50V from chassis ground.
Load capacitance: All outputs exhibit stable performance under all
specified operating conditions when remote sense is loaded with a capacitance of 3 to 8/uf
per load Ampere.
No load protection: Operation without load current on any or all outputs
will not reduce reliability or otherwise impair performance when loads are reapplied.
General and Environmental
Efficiency: Typical 75% for single output units and 70% for
multiple output units.
Parallel operation: Units may be directly paralleled(no master) and
current shared to ensure that no single unit is overstressed (main output only)
Auxiliaries may be paralleled as an option.

Operating temperature:0-50 c
at full rated load. derate linearly to 50% rated load at 71°c.
See graph below.
Thermal protection: Automatic shut down when internal
temperatures exceed maximum safe ratings. Automatic reset when temperature returns to
acceptable level.
Storage temperature: -55° to +85°C
Operating humidity: 0-95% without condensation.
Temperature coefficent: 0.02%/ °C maximum for all outputs.
Reversed voltage protection: Output is inherently protected against
reverse output voltage up to the full current rating of the unit.
Power factor: Typical 0.65
Cooling: Forced convection using internal fan. Compliance to all
specifications with reverse air flow.
Interface signals
Power fail detection: Upon loss of AC Input power of TTL
compatible signal (logic 0) is provided which is referenced to the primary output negative
sense terminal. Signal appears at least 2 msec prior to the primary output dropping 5%
below normal.see graph
Power on/off Sequence
Power fail signals for all outputs
True (>= 2.5V)
False(<0.4V)
T1 < 10 Sec T2 > 2 mSec
T3 > 30 mSec T4 > 0 mSec when remote output is used
T4 < 1µSec
power fail (0) sink current = 2 mA max.
power fail (1) source current = 400µA max.

Remote inhibit: Units may be remotely turned on with an
open circuit (logic 1) and turned off with a switch colsure (logic 0) reference to the
primary output negative sense terminal.
Current monitor: Signal allows monitoring of parallel operating units as
an indiaction of load sharing.
Remote programming: Primary output voltage may be remotely programmed ±4
to 8% ( nominal ±6%) for system margin checking. This function is referenced to the
primary output negative sense terminals.
DC OK : Signal is referenced to the primary output negative sense
terminal and remains high ( logic 1) as long as the primary output is within ±5%
variation, signal goes low (logic 0) sink current to 20 mA.
OVP actuated: When any OVP is activated this signal goes low (logic 0)
with respect to the primary output negative sense terminal.
Logical inverse: Available on the front panel of the 1000 thru 1800 watt
units. it is logical inverse of all signals. |
